These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of transportation services booked through Unity Drive, a driver-owned transportation company locally owned and operated in Seattle, WA, serving King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties. By booking a ride with Unity Drive, you agree to these Terms.

Note: This page reflects Unity Drive's current policy framework for the purposes of this design preview. Final legal language is pending review by outside counsel prior to public launch.

1. Pre-Arranged Booking Requirement

Unity Drive is a pre-arranged transportation service — not an on-demand rideshare. All rides must be scheduled in advance through our booking system or by phone. We do not support instant, curbside hailing of vehicles.

1.1 Standard Scheduling Window

We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee vehicle and driver-owner availability, particularly for wheelchair-accessible NEMT vehicles and medical appointment transport.

1.2 Same-Day Requests

Same-day requests may be accommodated on a best-effort basis depending on driver-owner availability in your service area, but are not guaranteed. There is no surge pricing — rates remain transparent and consistent regardless of demand or time of booking.

2. Driver-Owner Status & Liability Limitations

Vehicles operating under the Unity Drive brand are owned and operated by independent driver-owners who maintain their own commercial insurance, vehicle registration, and Washington State licensing in accordance with Department of Licensing requirements. Unity Drive facilitates scheduling, dispatch, and payment on behalf of participating driver-owners.

To the fullest extent permitted by Washington State law, Unity Drive's liability for any claim arising from a scheduled ride is limited to the amount paid for that specific ride. Unity Drive is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or circumstances outside a driver-owner's reasonable control, though we work with driver-owners to minimize disruption to scheduled pickups.

3. Passenger Conduct Rules

To keep every ride safe and comfortable for passengers and driver-owners alike, riders are expected to:

• Treat driver-owners and fellow passengers with courtesy and respect
• Wear a seatbelt at all times while the vehicle is in motion
• Refrain from smoking, vaping, or consuming alcohol inside the vehicle
• Follow reasonable instructions from the driver-owner related to safety and boarding/deboarding assistance
• Not engage in threatening, abusive, or unlawful behavior toward the driver-owner or other passengers

Unity Drive and its driver-owners reserve the right to end a ride early and decline future service to any rider who violates these conduct rules.

4. Vehicle Damage Fees

Riders are financially responsible for damage caused to a vehicle during a ride, including but not limited to upholstery stains or soiling (including from illness), torn seating, broken equipment (such as wheelchair lifts or securement straps), and damage requiring professional cleaning or repair. Damage fees are assessed based on the driver-owner's documented repair or cleaning costs and will be charged to the payment method on file after notice is provided to the rider.

5. Zero-Tolerance Drug & Alcohol Policy

Unity Drive maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding drug and alcohol use by driver-owners while on duty, consistent with Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) for-hire vehicle regulations. Driver-owners are prohibited from operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any controlled substance, and are subject to the applicable DOL screening and reporting standards for commercial and for-hire drivers.

Riders who appear to be under the influence in a manner that threatens safety may be declined transport at the driver-owner's discretion, in accordance with our passenger conduct rules above.
